The Bundesliga is often won by Bayern Munich. The 2023/24 campaign proved to be an exception, with Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen winning the title as well as completing an incredible unbeaten domestic double. Despite the repetitive nature of the division, it still provides drama and excitement.
At the end of each campaign, as one side lifts the title, fans and pundits start to think about the Team of the Season (TOTS), both in real life and in EA Sports FC 25. It’s a way to celebrate the best-performing players, even if their clubs struggle, and they receive incredible boosts in the EA Sports world.
In the gaming universe, TOTS is expected to begin on Friday, April 25th, this year, after a non-stop cycle of content. Due to this, we have decided to reveal every single Bundesliga TOTS squad from FIFA 17 onwards, with some of the greatest players of all time featuring consistently.
We have only included players who were in the main squad release. Those available via Objectives, Squad Building Challenges or as TOTS Moments have not been included.
FIFA 17 TOTS
In 2017, Bayern Munich unsurprisingly cruised to the title, but they didn’t have the division’s top goalscorer. Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured that accolade, whilst Bayern star Arjen Robben was given a TOTS card for the last time in his career.

FIFA 18 TOTS
It was the Robert Lewandowski show in 2018. One of the greatest strikers of all time scored 29 league goals, 14 more than anyone else, as Bayern Munich cruised to the title. He was given an incredible 97-rated card to celebrate his achievements, with Marco Reus the next closest at 96.

Dortmund brought in another world-class youngster at the start of 2020. After a fierce battle, they secured the signature of RB Salzburg forward Erling Haaland, who hit the ground running in the Bundesliga. He scored 13 in 15 during the 2019/20 campaign – despite being in the middle of a worldwide pandemic – which secured him a well-deserved TOTS card.

Haaland was included in the TOTS again in FIFA 21. He scored 27 league goals to help Dortmund finish third, but – remarkably – two players scored more than him. Frankfurt’s Andre Silva scored 28 to secure a 91-rated TOTS card, whilst Lewandowski trumped everyone with 41 goals.

FIFA 22 acted as the end of an era for one Bundesliga star. After an incredible career at both Dortmund and Bayern Munich, Lewandowski departed at the end of the campaign for Barcelona. He still had time to secure one more TOTS card at the club, though, rated at 97 — the same as Joshua Kimmich.
